RE/CREATE JIVOMIR DOMOUSTCHIEV COUTURE SHOW

Only a few weeks after my Debut Pure Kink show in New York I was asked to showcase in my home city of London as part of the RE/Create show platform a show directed by Minion Lou and Produced by YouYou Zhou. I have been dreaming of showing a pure fashion expression in London. This finally just felt right. Staged at St Johns Church Hyde Park a venue I grew up next to and also on the street outside the iconic Selfridges. I chose to show a cross section of my favourite pieces from my collections. I don't work seasonally and to me fashion is about wearing your favourite pieces and almost like a child layering those pieces to create a pure wearable individual sculpture. I asked my dear friend and visionary stylist Sayuri Bloom to oversee the styling of the show as it coincided with the launch of her new creative project Lumen magazine. Having an outside eye is essential to touch what is modernity. As designers we can get lost in our unequivocal vision.

Every Carcass Like a Diamond Fashion film with costume and style by Jivomir Domoustchiev

Recently I had to opportunity to work on a project with a dear friend film director Chris Turner. In my early days as a stylist i had worked on some of my favourite video projects with Chris and I jumped at the chance to create together. A day of many visual experimentation later and this is the result. Recreating part of my collection to suit the narrative I created the costume and design for this film. It is now on official selection for the New York City International Fashion Film Festival.

Woke up to this, how wonderful to have so many brilliant artists reimagine and interpret my design in a medium i love which is Illustration. Thankyou OCOutfits on Twitter for the challenge, I love them all sooo much. The Half Body Armour is again one of my favourite designs, it stems from my obsession with asymmetry and symmetry. Merde Magazine X Jivomir Domoustchiev Metaverse Fashion Week

Jivomir Domoustchiev’s first wearable collection of digital garments, his collectible creations will soon be available to wear within your chosen game or metaverse. Sold as NFT, they will allow the collector special access into the mind and world of Jivomir Domoustchiev Fashion Art and Design. He collaborated on this project with 3D fashion creator, Marina Gryzdova who interpreted his signature physical and digital designs by cutting 2D patterns into fully wearable 3D garments. Jenn Leung translated Jivomir’s idea into a 3D landscape. They pushed the envelope further by embedding the avatars skin with Jivomir’s previous NFT artwork (featured in MERDE VI - Archival Ephemera) as a form of tattoo art.
