RE/CREATE JIVOMIR DOMOUSTCHIEV COUTURE SHOW

Only a few weeks after my Debut Pure Kink show in New York I was asked to showcase in my home city of London as part of the RE/Create show platform a show directed by Minion Lou and Produced by YouYou Zhou. I have been dreaming of showing a pure fashion expression in London.  This finally just felt right. Staged at St Johns Church Hyde Park a venue I grew up next to and also on the street outside the iconic Selfridges.  I chose to show a cross section of my favourite pieces from my collections.  I don't work seasonally and to me fashion is about wearing your favourite pieces and almost like a child layering those pieces to create a pure wearable individual sculpture. I asked my dear friend and visionary stylist Sayuri Bloom to oversee the styling of the show as it coincided with the launch of her new creative project Lumen magazine.  Having an outside eye is essential to touch what is modernity. As designers we can get lost in our unequivocal vision.

Lady Gaga Stupid Love Chromatica x Jivomir Domoustchiev

I was so excited when the incredible stylist Marta Del Rio asked me to create some looks for one of the scenes in the upcoming launch video for Lady Gaga's Chromatica  Album.  I had not created for Gaga before and really want this to work.  Interpreting the mood boards i created 7 full looks in this theme.  White all unique sculpture jackets to be worn over split sleeve white neoprene kimono esq coats and fished with the frosted Spirit Animal headpieces.  I was so proud of them. When the video came out sadly my looks were not used. On the one year anniversary of Chromatica I came across images of the looks. Later i found out that the scene was filmed with a whole section of my pieces named 'The Spiritual Ones' but sadly cut. Of course im heart broke but really so happy it looked so good in the first place. And I was lucky enough to dress miss Gaga in my Multi Ring Harness Chain dress for the 'Rain on Me' video which came out soon after. So dreams do come true.  Thank you so much Marta Del Rio and Nicola Formichetti
