If y'all only knew how much i LOVE Skin lead singer of Skunk Anansie. So amazing to be able to work with her. Since the first time we met on a flight to Milan at some crazy early time in the morning through so many collaborations for magazines and stage performances. She is a pure and absolute inspiration. The energy the voice the relentless humanity and beauty and performance. If you have ever been lucky enough to watch her perform... lucky you... if not go, experience not just the perforce but life also..... and just like that the other day she appeared in my new adopted home of the Kent beach towns along with one of my other absolute favourite humans Miss Shirley Manson from Garbage Band the only one of the holy trinity that was missing was Peaches... the stars had allied and the two shared a stage for the firs time... life was complete. i went to see them and give them both a big squeeze still cannot believe i can be in this presence of these deity's love them both sooooo much. so of course i had created something personal for them both and this is the look for Skin. From my Reimagine the Future collection a pure custom Double Trench look again created from collected coats rebuilt into some wearable sculpture that luckily Skin liked :) and wore on stage.. It's a wired feeling, i know lately Skin has been wearing a lot of my besties work Dr Noki one of our most talented visionary designers via our dear friend stylist Kim Howell and i know she would appreciate this approach to fashion. the world just comes together and minds melt into that which we now all see...
