What an amazing collaboration. I was so excited when the legendary visionary stylist Patti Wilson first approached me on this. I felt truly honoured to be asked to create a custom dress for the V Magazine V102 cover shoot, featuring The Neon Demon. Having always admired her work, it was humbling that she would champion mine and commission something special.
Knowing that Steven Klein would be behind the lens a photographer whose work is cinematically visionary I was instantly inspired. After reviewing the mood board, I understood both Patti and Steven's vision immediately. They're exceptional communicators, painting a still from a film with just words. Having followed Elle Fanning's recent press, I knew exactly the direction to take.
When the images emerged, and even now, I feel privileged to have designed something that helped create such a stunning photograph.
